Who Turned off the Lights?
So, one of the more common feedbacks I've been getting is that some people feel that the excessive amount of special effects ala fog and lighting tend to clash with the game's art style due to it being pixel art, however on the other hand others have been saying that the effects really add on to the entire atmosphere of the game, so I've decided to strike a compromise in personalized settings.
In the options menu there will be two additional options. The first one will be to toggle the fog effect on and off. Pretty much every map in Anima Waker will have some sort of fog such as purple fog to indicate a contaminated atmosphere in an abandoned city, a moderate fog to indicate smog in a busy city, or a light fog in a cemetery to give a haunted feel. If the player feels that the fog is being too overbearing then they can simply just go in their menu, turn it off, and re-enter the map so the fog won't trigger.
The second one will be lights. The player will be able to choose whether the lights will appear everyone, only indoors, or never at all. The indoor option mostly stems from the fact that when compared to outdoor lights the indoor ones aren't as overbearing and have a better feel of fitting in than the previous one.
So here's how the game would look like with these new settings added.
The first column have both effects active, the second one have both off, the third one only has the lights on, while the fourth one only has the fog on. So play using whichever graphical settings you prefer.
