Mapping Out Ahead.
Just a quick post before I head out to bed. The map is now complete and usable. I'll probably polish it up in the future and add a few more islands around the eastern landmasses but this is roughly the entire game world of what's going to be playable in Anima Waker. The part I'm most excited to make is the archipelago between the NW island and the desert island since I have never really explored the concept of island hopping in mapping. Probably because my maps tend to be overwhelmingly land, but yeah.
Also I wanted to use a fairly large map, so I had three choices.
A) Separate it into smaller sub-regions.
B) Script in a function to allow the player to scroll through the map.
C) Use smaller squares.
I picked C since A kind of feels like a very band-aid and clunky approach to this problem meanwhile I think while B would serve that it would be a bit too choppy. Like, if you're trying to use the encounter search function it's ideal to search the entire world at once.
